Lesotho: SAPMIL military personnel with high morale
SAPMIL comprises 217 soldiers (162 Angolans), 24 policemen, 15 intelligence officers and 13 civilians, totaling 269 members from seven of the 15 member countries of the Southern African Development Community (SADC).
According to the commander of the military contingent, "the mission runs smoothly and the troops are excited."
"We brought encouragement to the people, the peace and stability in Lesotho," the Brigadier told the Angolan press in Maseru.
Saara pledged to continue working to raise the acceptance of military personnel by the population.
Another goal includes to maintain the discipline among the troops.
In turn, the physician-captain Maria Falcão Antas said the troops were in good health, expressing hope to fulfill her first mission abroad with zeal and professionalism.
