In a statement spread by the government’s press service PM Boyko Borissov strongly condemns the assassination of Oliver Ivanović – the political leader of the Freedom, Democracy, Justice Civic Initiative in Kosovo. The statement of the premier outlines that any violence contradicts to the civilization values and the European choice of the Western Balkan states, adding Mr. Borissov’s belief that the doers of the crime would face justice. The dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina has no alternative and such actions must not obstruct it, the Bulgarian pm states in conclusion. Later, Bulgaria’s Premier Boyko Borissov held a phone conversation with Serbia’s Prime Minister Ana Brnabic on occasion of the assassination of the leader of the Citizens’ Initiative Freedom, Democracy, Justice party Oliver Ivanovic. Boyko Borissov underlined that such violence cannot be tolerated and rule of law cannot be called into question. In Premier Borissov’s words, the political objectives are achieved with political means only.
