NEW CASTLE, Ind. — A Henry County woman this week pleaded guilty to dealing in meth after striking a deal with prosecutors.
Olivia S. Baker, 43, Spiceland, pleaded guilty in Henry Circuit Court 1 to a Level 2 felony carrying up to 30 years in prison.
The deal called for dismissal of four other charges — dealing in a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a legend drug, maintaining a common nuisance and unlawful possession of a syringe.
Judge Bob Witham signed an order allowing Baker to be released from the Henry County jail so she can obtain substance-abuse treatment,

Baker and a co-defendant — Michael A. Johnson, 50, also of Henry County — were arrested in October 2020 outside a Spiceland convenience store.
Authorities said they found 19 grams of meth, 26 small plastic bags, a glass smoking device and nine pills of controlled substances, including Hydrochloride and Clonazepam, in a Chevrolet Tahoe that Baker and Johnson were traveling in.
Johnson is set to stand trial May 23, in Henry Circuit Court 1, on seven related charges — dealing in meth, unlawful possession of a legend drug, counterfeiting, maintaining a common nuisance, unlawful possession of a syringe, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
He was convicted of dealing in meth in 2018.
